Today I went into a small store outside my town to buy a few different colors of yarn. I also bought a crochet needle. I would really like to start crocheting and knitting this winter, especially since my hands are always cold and it would keep them warmer since they would be occupied!
I am planning on trying to make a granny squares quilt, since I have wanted to do it for several years. This is the type I have in mind. The color supply at the store was limited, but I ended up with some nice ones: coral/salmon, heather and a light teal/blue. (Shepherds Wool Brand)
For now, though I need to figure out how to role my hanks of yarn into round balls. Can't wait to start my new project!
Pictures to follow, I hope!

That's awesome - I love the granny squares quilt style! I want to make one too!
ReplyDeleteYes! You should come over some time and I can teach you a little bit. (And I'm learning right-handed.) Also, you can find out all the stitches on you tube. Lots of great videos on it there. xoxo
ReplyDeleteSounds good! xoxo
